I'm starting this blog because I enjoy HEMA.
There is nothing so fascinating as learning a dead or forgotten skill, to test yourself whether you could learn a skill that your ancestors relied on.
I equally enjoy the practice of HEMA, and its more bookish side - interpreting ancient fighting texts. It is like solving a puzzle.
I've started this blog because I spend a lot of my time thinking about HEMA and trying to understand its various fighting systems in an intuitive way.
This blog is a place I can share my thoughts on HEMA, in the hope that it helps others to understand historical longsword, sword and buckler and other systems more easily and intuitively.
